— what we gather, what we keep, what we let fly away.

What We Collect
We log the everyday signals a website logs: which pages were read, the device and browser making the request, an approximate location, and the referring source that pointed the reader our way. If you write in through the contact address, we keep the message and any details you choose to share so we can write back.
How We Use It
These readings help us understand which entries in the journal are useful and which are gathering dust — what to revise, what to retire, what to add. We also use them to keep affiliate referrals attributed correctly, so when a click does become a purchase, the journal is credited. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies & Quiet Markers
Small markers — cookies and similar storage — are left in your browser to count visits through Google Analytics and to attribute outbound clicks through affiliate networks. You can clear them, block them, or opt out of analytics with your browser's controls or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Affiliate networks may set their own cookies once you follow a link off the site.
Your Rights
You're welcome to ask what we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we'll handle the request promptly. The journal is open to its readers; questions and corrections are always welcome.
